same as the other reviewer these boots are the top of the top. i've had mine since 2004 and 8 years later they are still in decent wearable shape. when polished they still look good. the tread is starting to wear out but the boots are in good enough shape i'm seriously considering the recrafting option from danner. they're expensive but one of the few things that are definately worth it

I have been in law enforcement for over nine years and
am still on my second pair of Danner Acadias. Don't waste your money and buy a cheaper pair of boots because with these, you really do get what you pay for. They hold up better than other boots (my current five year old boots look better than boots of my co-workers that just bought some this year). Keep them clean and polished and they'll look brand new for a very long time. I cannot say enough about the durability and quality of Danner Acadias.
